Episcopalian 101

As Episcopalians, we are followers of Jesus Christ, and we believe in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  We traditionally worship on Sunday through a church service known as the Holy Eucharist (also known as Communion or The Lord’s Supper), which is offered at almost all of our worship services.  Our style of worship is known as liturgical, meaning that we use liturgy to guide our worship services (found in The Book of Common Prayer).
The Episcopalian Church of America is a protestant denomination that dates back to the 16th Century through the Church of England. History buffs may enjoy the church's riveting history which is described on the national Episcopal Church website.

Some of our terminology may sound a bit unusual.  We have a quick primer on Episcopal Lingo that covers the high-points of what you may see and hear.
