Daily Prayer in Lent

Beginning in Lent, lay leaders and clergy will lead corporate offerings of the Daily Office in the St. Clare Chapel. Morning Prayer will be at 7 am and Evening Prayer at 5 pm. These simple prayer offices, offered without sermons, take about twenty minutes, start to finish. We encourage you to enter into this rhythm of prayer as often as you can.

The Daily Office-Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer-is an ancient practice using prayers to mark the rhythm of the day. This practice allows the hearts of participants to soak up the psalms and other scriptures, and to offer prayers on behalf of the creation and all people.

Did you know you can use your phone, pad or computer for saying the Daily office? Go to or and click around to see how convenient it is. Prayers for in the morning, at noon, in the early evening, and at the close of the day can be found in the Book of Common Prayer beginning on page 136.

Any who want to learn to say the Office privately or help to lead them corporately can contact Fr. Price at or call the parish office 713-782-1270.
